David McGarey, M.D.
David McGarey, M.D. is a general ophthalmology and cataract surgeon. After completing his residency training in 1997, he opened his private practice in Flagstaff, AZ. Dr McGarey partnered with Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center in 2007. As a recognized ophthalmologist in Arizona, Dr McGarey specializes in Diabetes, Glaucoma and Cataract surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Scott A. Perkins, M.D.
Scott A. Perkins, M.D. joined Barnet Eye Center in 1992 as an ophthalmic surgeon and was invited to remain on staff following the 1993 merger of the Barnet Eye Center and Dulaney Eye Clinic and Cataract Institute. As a recognized ophthalmologist with Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center, Dr. Perkins has performed more then 50,000 cataract surgeries and more then 10,000 LASIK and laser refractive surgery procedures.
Dr. Perkins is board certified by the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. |
J. Shepard Bryan, M.D.
Dr. Bryan moved to Arizona in 1995 to join Associated Retina Consultants from Jacksonville, Florida. He is a clinical instructor at Maricopa Medical Center, assisting in the training of physicians from the Mayo Clinic, Wills Eye Hospital, Washington University and University of Arizona. Dr. Bryan is also a clinical assistant professor of ophthalmology at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine-Phoenix.
At Associated Retina Consultants, Dr. Bryan has been a principal investigator in numerous clinical trials investigating new treatments for macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retina vascular disease. His dedication to the field of ophthalmology has resulted in a book chapter and publications in the Archives of Ophthalmology, Retina, Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology, Ophthalmology, and Journal of Clinical Neuro-ophthalmology. |
Jaime Gaitan, M.D.
Dr. Jaime Gaitan worked at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale prior to joining Associated Retina Consultants in 2014, and was a retina specialist in private practice for over six years.
Dr. Gaitan maintains membership in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, the Arizona Ophthalmological Society and the Phoenix Ophthalmological Society. Dr. Gaitan has participated in many research and scientific studies on a variety of topics. He is the co-author of numerous published research papers. He is currently developing an online educational site for physicians and patients encompassing all aspects of therapy and research in the area of wet age-related macular degeneration. |
